Last night I saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets. If you're into Disney-level-intense, that's-impossible type of action, the movie is legitimately amazing. Nicholas Cage breaks into Buckingham Palace, survives a high-energy guns-shooting-at-me car chase, kidnaps the president, and yet again (well, for the second time) finds another treasure chest that makes him worth more money than God. I don't know who that actress is who plays his girlfriend, but she sucks. Horrible acting, her jokes just fell flat, and as a character, I didn't give a shit whether she died or not or broke up with Nicholas Cage or married a monkey. On the other hand, the actor who plays Riley, Nicholas Cage's ever so cute and adorable side-kick, exceeds his expectations as comedic relief.
I still would very much like to partake in the cinematic adventure that is known as Juno. Oddly enough, I also really want to see Cloverfield - supposedly the American equivalent of Godzilla. I don't know, the advertising for the movie is phenomenal and that deserves something. And I cannot wait to see 27 Dresses. Katherine Heigl = delicious. I can't get enough of her .. except for on Grey's Anatomy (for now at least). And and and, I promise this is the last movie I'll mention in this blog, One Missed Call, anyone? Ohhh yeah.
I'm a bigger movie person than I would like to be.
Today, I drove to this wonderful little gem that my parents found a couple of months ago .. The Filipino Restaurant - complete with your balikbayan boxes and filipino essentials store. Oh man .. priceless. It was a filipino store, attached to a filipino restaurant. Never in Ohio would this place ever survive.
I'm trying out this new diet where I don't eat anything.
