022308 - Last night was a fun night

A couple friends and I celebrated another friend's birthday last night. happy birthday lover! I haven't had that much fun in a long time. All of us just seemed to be living it up, letting loose and kicking back - as everything should be.

I'm actually taking a work break right now from this scholarship competition. The kids are really stressed out and nervous when they have absolutely no reason to feel this pressure.

Tonight should be fun. I have some plans that I have not yet confirmed, but it shall include plenty of fun and laughs. It shall be good. I will it to be and I'm sure God does too.

Black ice all over the campus walk ways. It's horrible. I fell down last night twice. I almost fell this morning on the greenspace, not once nor twice nor three times .. try four. Good stuff.

020108 - Breakfast gets harder to do with every day

as much as I love getting up extra early for that first meal, it gets increasingly harder and harder everyday to roll out of bed and join the morning crowd. I still want to be able to, but today was the second day in a row that I was unable to wake up and go get some breakfast.

I'm going to Myrtle Beach for spring break. Right now, it's just Jill and I that are definitely going on this adventure, but we need more people to go with us. Neither of us though it would be this hard to find people to go to a beach with us for Spring Break but we were obviously misguided - I mean, come on a beach for spring break? who ever thought the impossible.

We made this official last night - found plane tickets and started to make reservations. $300 roundtrip flight. $100 for five nights at a Days Inn right across from the beach - walking distance from everything else - this spring break is going to be so sweet, I can hardly contain my excitement.

So my computer gave out again .. well, it turns on, but that's about it. It just stays at the opening screen and doesn't actually open up any programs. It's really quite a dilemma. I'm contemplating just throwing the damn piece of metal and plastic out of my window and buying a new one. Perhaps beat it with a stick like that scene from Office Space. That would be so much fun, but alas, I don't have the balls to do that to my baby vaio. Asthma and all, I still love it.

School is going swimmingly though. This semester has been really productive for me. I like my classes, the teachers ... it's really working out.

I'll be in D.C. next weekend for CPAC with College Republicans. It should be a lot of fun republican bonding. haha, I'm a lot more excited about hanging out with people rather than the conference itself. But that should be expected. This is why I'm a science major essentially. I can't cut it with the politically active kids, but I do enjoy it.

Last night, Jill and I watched Casanova with Heath Ledger, who is, dead. What a sad ending to my childhood. He will forever be known as the guy in 10 things I hate about you .. you know, the one who sang that song on the bleachers .. swoon. This blog is dedicated to you, Mr. Heath Ledger.

Speaking of entertainment, the writer's guild nonsense still hasn't cleared up. I don't understand why the networks just don't pay them already .. it would just solve everyone's problem and god knows that they have the money to do so. I was at first opposed to their strike, thinking that they should just hire english majors from right out of highschool to write scripts blah blah blah .. but who am I kidding, those writers deserve it. I miss my grey's.

Too bad we didn't have a snow day today though. That would have been the icing on the cake that is the best week of my life.
